Erik is a life-long St. Louis resident. He grew up in the Florissant area and attended Lutheran High School North. After high school he attended Rockhurst University where he played soccer and received a BSBA in business management. After college he joined Central Pattern Company where he worked for eight years as a sales engineer operating a CMM (computerized measuring machine), ran the ISO program, and was in charge of OSHA and purchasing. Erik has always had a passion for residential architecture and typically found himself attending open houses just for fun. It never occurred to Erik that he could make a career out of this until the idea was brought up around family members. He started slow, taking night classes and after passing the real estate exam, what seemed like a dream was coming to reality. He decided to leave his current job and has never looked back. In his first year he had great success receiving a rising star award and he was asked to join the Breihan/Malecek team.
Erik lives in Creve Coeur with his wife Jackey and dog Dex. He is involved in many organizations including the Rockhurst University Alumni Council of St. Louis, Lutheran High School Association, and Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation. In his spare time, he enjoys playing soccer, golf, cycling and any other outdoor activity.
